Ask The Experts - Animal problems generally fall into two areas – behavioural or physical.
Behavioural problems
At Dr Petals we are not qualified vets and so are legally unable to advise on issues that require the knowledge of a professional vet. However, we do have experts who can advise on many issues related to the behaviour of animals.

Physical problems
We are often asked questions that are related to physical conditions in animals and we are lucky enough to have access to Veterinary Surgeon Richard Allport B.Vet.Med., Vet.M.F. Hom., M.R.C.V.S. and Associates

Dr. Richard Allport
Richard is former President of the British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons and a member of the Association for British Veterinary Acupuncturists. A well-known expert in natural remedies for animal problems Richard has published many books including : Natural Healthcare for Pets; Heal Your Dog the Natural Way; Heal Your Cat the Natural Way
Richard is independent of Dr Petals but where appropriate will recommend our products or an alternative solution. Whatever the answer, the welfare of the animal is of utmost importance to us and Richard’s advice is the best you can get.
Whatever the nature of your enquiry, please do let us have as much information as possible because it’s often the case that a behavioural problem may have resulted from a physical problem or a particular situation in the life of the animal that may have led to the problem. We’re particularly interested in what happened around the time that the animal started to have problems because that can help with the diagnosis.
If your animal issue is purely behavioural then please do
email us and we’ll respond with our recommendations.
If your animal issue is physical or could have derived from a physical problem then please do contact Richard Allport via his
Natural Medicine Centre website.
Richard is a very busy man but will provide free initial advice by email. If more in-depth advice is required as a follow-up to Richard’s initial response this can be optionally gained for a fee of £20 per session of advice.
